Created To Be Loved Unconditionally

“Consider how the wildflowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all His splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you- you of little faith!” it says in Luke 12:27-28.

I once was one with little faith. Though I believed in the Creator of the universe since I was a child, it took me thousands of sleepless nights before I finally understood that God, the creator of the universe, really does care for me.

Being a self-supporting person since a young age did make me depend and trust in God. But there were times that I forgot that God has my back, no matter what. So I also developed a “survival instinct” ability which I call natural strength. If things went wrong, I would feel depressed and soaked in my pain and sorrow. I got blinded by it and stopped seeing God’s faithful and unconditional love.

It took me a long time to stop relying on my natural strength. I was so hard-headed. I didn’t fully understand the gift of “free will” and how much a gentleman God is. He did not intervene in my decisions in life. It wasn’t until I gave up on myself and asked Him to step in, that He did. And every time I let Him help me, I started seeing God’s supernatural strength which always left me in awe and gratefulness. My little mind couldn’t believe what had just happened. Indeed, with God nothing is impossible!

How wonderful it is to think that God is always there waiting for our invitation and that He is more than happy when we open the door of our hearts to Him. He wants to take care of us more than what our earthly parents can do. So we can enjoy the quality of life that Jesus died for us to have.

Sure I’ve made some bad choices in life. God is not surprised with that. He is gracious to forgive us and help in bringing the best out of us. One promise of God written in scripture says, “And we know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose’” (Romans 8:28). I love God and I am not perfect. No, no one is perfect. But as I continue to walk with Him, I’m learning how each of us is unique and special.

Now, the more I seek Him, the more He reveals how deep His love for us is. So deep that no one can ever fathom it. I am grateful to know that God is so concerned with all aspects of our lives. To know that God is always there faithfully loving us makes me feel cherished, secured, and created to be loved unconditionally. These words are not enough to express how deep the Father’s love is for us. So when in doubt of God’s love, just open the door of your heart and let Him in. Pray, sit back, relax and enjoy His presence.
